EASY TIPS FOR MAINTAINING YOUR QUARTZ COUNTERTOPS

Quartz is an engineered, man-made material that can resemble a variety of natural substances, such as the dramatic veining and sparkle of marble and granite, or the subtle, undulating textures of travertine. And if you're searching for the ideal pure-white countertop, you need look no further.

Here is a simple maintenance guide that will assist you in keeping your beautiful quartz countertop in pristine condition.

DAILY CLEANING

Whether your countertop is in the kitchen or bathroom, you must know how to maintain its cleanliness and hygiene. Fortunately, quartz countertops make the process effortless. Quartz countertops are entirely impermeable, preventing liquids and contaminants from penetrating the surface. Use a gentle detergent, such as dishwashing liquid, in conjunction with a damp sponge or delicate dishcloth. Wipe and rinse.

SPECIAL CLEANING

Despite the nonporous surface of a quartz countertop, there are some messes that are too large for routine cleansing. The most effective cleanser for these messes remains liquid dish detergent. Never use abrasive chemicals because they may react with the resins and erode the surface. Also, avoid using any abrasive products, such as scouring cleansers. For stubborn, caked-on, dried mess, it is safe to let it soak beneath a damp towel until the dirt loosens.

SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE

Quartz countertops do not require any scheduled maintenance. On a white quartz countertop, unlike natural stone, quartz does not require sealing or waxing to shield it from staining and mildew.

THINGS TO AVOID

Quartz is an incredibly durable material, and the list of "don'ts" is extremely brief. However, it is essential to consider. Avoid paint removers, silver polish, nail polish remover, detergents containing oil, chlorine, and anything containing trichloroethylene or methylene chloride. Ink and permanent markers are difficult to remove and can taint surfaces.
